Cushioning
Each product has specific properties that we match to your protective needs.
We can also implement foam-in-place systems and offer other unique solutions
using protective materials that are listed below.

Bubble Cushioning
This highly flexible product is very light weight for shipping concerns, but is strong enough to cushion heavy furniture, office equipment and electronics. Bubble rolls can be slit into widths from 4” to 72” and perforated for ease of use to meet your individual needs. The bubble cell height is commonly available in 1/8”, 3/16”, 5/16” and 1/2”. Bubble cushioning material also comes in Antistatic, Adhesive, Cohesive Laminated, VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) and specialty designed products to meet your packaging and protection needs.

Recommended Uses: Use flat for surface protection, rolled for shock absorption, crumpled for void fill or formed into bags for labor savings.

Poly Foam Cushioning
Poly foam is a low-cost, flexible, all purpose polyethylene foam sheet material useful in both packaging and non-packaging applications. It is strong, nonabrasive, light weight and resilient, with excellent tear and puncture resistance.

Recommended Uses: Poly foam is ideal for surface protection, interleaving, void filling or cushioning for fragile items.

Loose Fill
Polystyrene loose fill, commonly known as peanuts, is one of the most widely used packaging materials. Also known as void fill, peanuts are a light weight cushioning material. They can provide protection and stability inside your packaged product. Recyclable peanuts are also available.

Recommended Uses: Any

Cellulose Wadding
Available in several different thicknesses and widths, cellulose wadding provides cushioning and absorbs liquids. It can be used as void-fill or surface protection.

Recommended Uses: The absorbency of cellulose wadding makes it a natural void fill product for oiled machine parts or liquids that may leak. Since it is nonabrasive it is widely used in the furniture industry to protect fine finishes.

Single Face Corrugated
Single face corrugated is totally recyclable, biodegradable, as well as flexible. Standard rolls range in size from 4 inch through 72 inches wide and 250 feet long. It can be cut into pads, die cut for internal protection, or formed into presentation folders. Adhesives can be applied to create flexible shipping packages, edge protection or a scuff resistant surface. If strength is a concern, ‘A’ flute is sturdy enough to provide support inside a box or as a layer pad.

Recommended Uses: Single face corrugated is flexible enough to wrap around small machine parts, dishes or glassware.

Instapak Foam in Place
Do you need extra special cushioning? Do you have an odd shaped or exceptionally difficult item to pack for whatever reason? Do you need a cost effective void fill? Kelly Box has the solution: Foam in Place, by Sealed Air Corporation. This unique cushioning medium provides unparalleled protection and void fill for many applications and protection.

Recommended Uses: Products that are large or small, fragile or rugged.

Polystyrene
Expanded polystyrene or EPS, is a lightweight, closed cell plastic foam which is produced from petroleum and natural gas bi-products. EPS contains no CFC’s.

Recommended Uses: EPS is excellent for use in insulating, strength, and cushioning.

Polyethylene Plank
Polyethylene (PE) plank is available in a variety of sizes and densities. PE has more “give” to it than polystyrene and is firmer than polyurethane. It can be cut into virtually any shape, routed to fit an edge or die cut to fit a product exactly. In addition, depending on the application, it can often be reused.

Recommended Uses: PE is typically used inside a box for additional cushioning.

Polyurethane Foams
Available in a number of grades and densities, this family of foams can be die cut, and combined with other packaging materials to protect your product. A softer foam than polyethylene and polystyrene, urethanes are able to provide shock absorbing qualities without being abrasive.
